While the coordinator of the program is aware students want employment they can&#8217;t guarantee a job. I would think they would place you at a company that was interested in hiring. However, do you have any tips, suggestions?</p>
<p>Should I let the property manager know right off I&#8217;m looking for employment? If I don&#8217;t get offered employment while doing a good job is asking for a reference ok? The intership is for 2 weeks.</p>

<p><i>Answer by steveko777</i><br/>Do your job to the best of your ability&#8230;Show eagerness to learn and be willing to listen to those with experience&#8230; It is certainly OK to let them know your are looking for a job&#8212;-but don&#8217;t be disappointed if it doesn&#8217;t happen and it is certainly OK to ask for a reference&#8230;.If you like the job&#8212;leave your number for the owner&#8212;Perhaps he or one of his friends can use you in the future..</p>
