I believe there is way too much rehashed and overly dramatic lyrics in popular culture today that are neither relevant or necessary in relationships today. I also believe that most wives and spouses appreciate their men taking care of every day needs than slaying dragons and climbing the highest mountains for you. My suggestions for when you are writing short love poems for her is to focus on the daily practical matters you take care of. Take a look at both these poems below and tell me which you like more.

1st poem:

I would die for you and ride across the sky for you.
I would let myself be tortured day and night for you if it meant that you would be safe.
I would climb the highest peak, explore the deepest cave and trek to the ends of the earth for you.
I would walk across the continent and through a burning desert for you.
I would slay a dragon, conquer the enemy’s castle and go toe to toe with the bravest knight for you.

2nd poem:

I would put the kids to bed for you. I would take our daughter to soccer practice for you.
I would remember to buy groceries on the way home and take what you bought back to the store.
I would walk the dog and feed the cat and tidy the house before the guests come over.
I would remember the oil change and the heating bill too.
I would clean the bathroom on the weekend for you before mowing the lawn and running errands.

Today don’t worry about those tiny details. There’s too much joy in life to be stressed.
I’m here by your side, forever your man. I’m here to help with all the never-ending details
And to remind you that life isn’t about the details, but the joy you have along the way.
So the details we’ll take care of together, and life we’ll enjoy together as well.

My opinion is that most women appreciate the second poem more than the first. And I suggest that if you want to make your woman happy and write a short love poem for her, focus on the here and now instead of a future fantasy.

The story of the guitar’s burth is a little different depending on who you ask.
