Cruises with Carnival

With the economy in a bind its tough to think about affording a family cruise vacation on one of the overpriced mega resorts of the seas. Don’t worry Carnival has you covered. The fantasy class of ships have just finished going through multi million dollar makeovers that have something for the whole family at prices that could have your whole family cruising for less than the cost of one person on one of the bigger ships. The ships now include water parks and putt putt for the kids and an adults only area, resort style pools and upgraded spa facilities for mom and dad.

Aside from the upgraded cabins which now come with flat screen TV’s the upgrades that will stand out the most will be the adult only serenity area and the new water works water park. The water park includes splash areas for the kids and three slides. Two racer slides where Mom and Dad can race each other and a giant 4 deck high spiral slide that is fun for everyone. After the slides Mom and Dad can relax in the adult only retreat of serenity with big soft chaise lounges and a Bahama Mama drink from the full service bar.

You may however find the most enjoyment from the one thing Carnival didn’t upgrade – the price. Inside cabins on fantasy class cruises from Jacksonville, FL and Tampa, FL can be found for under $220 on select sailings and if you want to drive a little further to Miami you can find some under $200. These aren’t just three day cruises either, these are 4 and 5 day trips to places such as Nassau, Cozumel, Key West and Grand Cayman.

With a family of four being able to cruise for around $800 its tough to argue the value of these newly remodeled ships. You have to ask yourself is now the time to spend and extra few thousand dollars on one of the bigger ships when you can still have loads of fun on one of the fantasy class ships with Carnival.
