Is It Your Dream Job – Video Games Tester

Its exactly the sort of job that most layabout teenagers dream of, although if they knew just what it took to get the job in the first place and then what sort of hard work it required to keep the job then they probably wouldn’t of bothered. First things first this a job where they only advertise about twice a year and when they do there can be up to a thousand applicants for just the one job.

If you have not completed high school or have absolutely no clue about grammar then your going to come unstuck, the first thing the game companies want is a good English speaker who can use a computer to write up a report.

They will give you a game and expect you to complete it up to 3 or 4 different times and on different difficulty levels as they need you to be on the lookout for any bugs and or glitches, if you find any bugs or glitches you will need to make a not of them and whereabouts in the game they appeared. This is very important as the game companies want to make sure that their game is glitch free before putting it out on the market.

Once you have found and noted any glitch or bugs that you may have found the manufacturers will want a full written report on the game including those glitches and any positive or negative comments about the game as an overall whole. You will compile a report and email it off to the publisher who will make sure you are paid and you may even get to keep the game.

Being a video games tester is hard work but ultimately rewarding. I’m sure the paychecks will help me buy that xbox 360 slim that Ive had my eye on for quite some time now
